October 26th a joint press conference was held to announce that SpareBank 1 SR-Bank and SpareBank 1 Sørøst-Norge will be forming SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge.

Covered bonds

SR-Boligkreditt AS was established in March 2015. It is a wholly owned special bank subsidiary of SpareBank 1 SR-Bank. Its objective is to purchase mortgages from the owner and to finance these by issuing covered bonds.
